The Machine of the Organisation

A great video on which to reflect on the notion of organisations as complex systems and how they work.

This video for the recorded version of "This Too Shall Pass" off the album "Of the Blue Colour of the Sky" by OKGo. was filmed in a two story warehouse, in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. The "machine" was designed and built by the band, along with members of Syyn Labs over the course of several months. Syyn Labs was formed in 2008 by a group of creative engineers who twist together art and technology. They build gizmos, whatzits, and interactive installations that encourage strangers to play together by lowering social barriers.
