Inspiring the masses through creative leadership
The American Psychological Association has been at the forefront of the creative leadership movement since its formation in the the 1950's. Its first President John Guildford wanted to develop a way of measuring creative leadership behaviour so it could be incorporated into Amercian business, thus assisting America to become the leading industrial nation in the world. And in my view, this organisation was extraordinarily succesful in doing that, in the process creating the HR industry. So 50 years on it is very nice to see this article "Inspiring the masses through creative leadership" reprising the DNA that drove and drives the APA by taking "a closer look at history's great innovators reveals that creativity and leadership go hand-in-hand"
