Adults with ADHD are more creative - Times Of India

A new study has found that adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder enjoy more creative achievement than those who don't have the disorder "For the same reason that ADHD might create problems, like distraction, it can also allow an openness to new ideas," said Holly White, assistant professor of cognitive psychology at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida and co-author of the paper.

ADHD's Upside Is Creativity, Says New Study - Casey Schwartz, The Daily Beast

Parents who’ve claimed for years that their kids with ADHD are more creative are getting some scientific backup from a new study, which found that subjects with the disorder have enhanced creative abilities. A new study, published Wednesday in the Journal of Personality and Individual Differences, finds some truth in the increasingly popular theory that along with the thorns of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder comes a rose: increased creativity.
