For those interested in the philosophy of creativity, Professor Dennis Dutton from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand has just released a new book entitled The Art Instinct in which he seeks to unravel the cause and evolution of art making by humans. Whilst the book has received look warm critiques, the web site Art and Letters Daily that Dutton has established as an aggregation of essays, criticisms and feature writing around the theme is comprehensive and for those interested in this area, really worth a visit.
